ATTENTION! BLACK COMIC BOOK DAY ATLANTA's BIG DAY IS @ SOUTH FULTON ARTS CENTER -THIS IS NOT THE SAME SUMMER VENUE = South West Arts Center. But yes ONYXCON veterans, we DO plan to return to Southwest Arts Center in August of 2012 for ONYXCON 4. So stay tuned!

"An Intro to the Black Age of Comics: Past, Present, and Future" a panel and community discussion panel. 

BCBD was started by the Father of The Black Age of Comics movement Turtel Onli and renowned cartoonist Jerry Craft! It’s a nationwide and global celebration of The African Diaspora in comics and related genres of the Popular Arts!

BCBD on February 11th.

That is/was ONYXCON 3 in a word. ATLANTA, GA & the world have now passed through the cosmic rights of mystic passage of confirmed greatness. Our 3rd has been solidified. With our special guest TANANARIVE DUE, STEVEN BARNES, MSHINDO KUUMBA I, OMAR BILAL, N STEVEN HARRIS, AFUA RICHARDSON, MAURICE NOVEMBRE, RICH URAEUS TYLER, and the ‘Father of the Black Age’ Mr. TURTEL ONLI, M.A.A.T., a new level of excellence in popular arts conventions has been established. Our vendors came from as far as California, Maryland, Philadelphia, New York, and Chicago! We are, because you were there! Thank you.

     Thanks to the entire staff, affiliates, and friend of our primary partner and venue, SOUTHWEST ARTS CENTER! We have a home that continues to present our vision with accuracy and professionalism. Via SWAC’s unique accommodations, The New Art Order is proud to continue to bring this event to the people of ATL and the world.

To the public that joined us for The ONYXCON Institute on Friday August 19th, and the convention day on Saturday – Aug. 20th, you are our roots. Thank you for bringing us to fruition.
