MAURICE NOVEMBRE - once employee of ILM and affiliate of Big City Entertainment presents a Z-BRUSH BASICS WORKSHOP!

Milton Davis of MV Media, creator of the  Sword and Soul book series 'MEJI' presents a writer's workshop on telling YOUR STORY!

Dawud Anyabwile and Brian McGee of Big City Entertainment (Brotherman Comics) present a process of comic book creation!

N Steven Harris ('Aztec', 'The Crush', Milestone/DC/Marvel and self published, N Steven Works books - "Brotherhood of The FRINGE") presents a storyboarding/sequence workshop!

MSHINDO KUUMBA I - Omandi Mech 5 (Produced by Wesley Snipes) presents the wizardry of his Photoshop techniques!

*All workshops are tentative and schedule is subject to change.*

For only $25 - you get exposed to all of this knowledge. 16 and UP admitted to participate. For everyone attending workshops, you qualify for entry to the convention on Saturday Aug 14th for this one time fee.

The Official ONYXCON Art Exhibition Entitled: AFTER BLACK

...is an invitational Art show. 

The show will explore the new 'Black' identity, progressive consciousness, and challenges in this new age through the lens of science fiction, fantasy, and other speculative/surreal genres.

The opening reception is Friday AUGUST 13th from 6PM-9PM.

Show remains on view August 13 - September 3, 2010.

All day convention fun! Come and meet the creators of unique comics, illustrations, graphic novels, sci fi/fantasy novels, performances (MANGA DANCE INC.-African Dance & Drum Group & The SUPER VILLAINZ-Krump Dancing Crew) ! 

Unique films will be shown and the Art Exhibition will be on view (thru Sep. 3rd)!

Reading sessions for young children, drawing boards for showing off your skills, the arcade tournaments, Masking/Cos-play, great food concesions, plus so much MORE! also!
