In June of 2020, in the midst of one of the most melancholy years in human history, we introduced a new part of our legacy, a new part of our purpose, a new chapter in ONYXCON's glorious history. The Outdoor Experience was reborn as The Outdoor Experience WorldWide - an outdoor rec and related Arts subsidiary of ONYXCON. We were always more than a comicon. We are an Arts EXPERIENCE. A LIFE STYLE BRAND! A code of creative ethics in a world with need of a New Art Order. This is ONYXCON! And in JUNE of 2021 we introduce you to #HotFISHSummer because #ONYXCONizTheBigCatch ! Whether you fish or not, hike or not, stay outside or not - $UPPORT all aspects of ONYXCON! We are building and our operational budget needs to match our ambition. THIS SPECIAL SUMMER CONTEST goes from JUNE 1 - AUG 31 !

All catches in this time with proper registration are eligible for prizes and other incentives! For general rules of ethics and angler public images we will accept go see ONYXCON.com for our standard rules posted there.

If you are an angler use #ONYXCONft on all fishing related pics/videos, especially your catches! Stories are welcome but only post count! Ask friends, family, corporate connections, philanthropists in your circles to MATCH YOUR CATCH in DONATIONS!

EXAMPLE:

If you catch a 12 lb 6 oz Largemouth BASS

a 35 lb 8 FLATHEAD Catfish

and a 25 lb 2 oz LongNosed GAR

you technically caught 73 lb of fish!

So if an angler who works at a big corporation gets the company to MATCH the CATCH with $10 for each pound of fish caught, this angler could for example bring $730 to ONYXCON! That's awesome it makes them a Silver Level Supporter!


*If no one beats the Flathead - a biggest fish prize would be eligible.

*If no one else catches that species of gar, an exotic category win could be eligible... and so on!

Your supporters that will MATCH your CATCH will pay agreed dollar amounts per pound for your total weight of fish caught during this contest. Must have a working portable scale and measuring is highly encouraged also. But weight is key for all donation dollars! So anglers ,'get ya weight up!'

All companies and individuals matching catches will make donations of a minimum of $10 on our GO FUND ME ( link in bio @ONYXCON ) and specify in the notes that the donation is to support ' YOU/YOUR NAME - THE ANGLER ' with their contributions! Any company/individual donations $200 and up are eligible for inclusion of their name/company logo on our next designed official ONYXCON FISHING TOURNAMENT jersey! Request for name approval/logos must be followed up immediately for this incentive. In addition , pending specific levels, ONYXCON will offer Ad space or shoutouts in our ongoing fishing show content on YOUTUBE at ONYXCON ATLANTA!

Our overall annual goal is $100 K but if we make $40,000 (for example) by July or August

It all started when…

Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, ONYXCON had to be postponed as a public event. The Artist/Founder/President Mr Joseph R Wheeler III put all of our content ONLINE! To balance his spirit he started doing his two favorite away from it all activities - FISHING and HIKING! To share that joy with the world it was decided that ONYXCON would have a world wide fishing tournament to encourage other people to stay healthy and to support a great cause with donations!
